Writer, teacher, and sound artist living in Regina
My writing practice ranges from journalism to literary reviews to award-winning creative non-fiction. Highlights of my writing career include: editing the Lambda Book Report, directing the Lambda Literary Awards (Lammies), editing Between the Lines newspaper in Detroit, and working at the Edmonton Journal.
After receiving my MA in Creative Writing and English from the University of Regina, I began teaching at URegina and First Nations University. I currently work as a sessional instructor at both institutions.
My sound art practice mixes field recordings, musical composition, and software-based sound design. I work in collaboration with other artists, contributing soundscapes to live performances and installations. I was recently an artist-in-residence at New Dance Horizons studio in Regina, and I now serve on their board.
Born in Edmonton, Treaty 6 Territory, I gratefully acknowledge the lands I am living and creating on today.
